Facilitation
Sometimes your team doesn't need more information to become engaged.
. . they just need to work together better and make the most of
the existing knowledge they have. This is where someone outside
the organisation can often be required to ensure that the group
stays on track and addresses the important issues. An external facilitator
can also bring with them a range of ideas from other industries
and organisations that can enhance the process.
With a degree in
Adult Education and further training in facilitation skills Karen
uses a range of thought provoking techniques to help maximise the
potential in your team. She has facilitated sessions for senior
leadership teams through to frontline managers in organisations
of all shapes and sizes, with groups ranging in size from 5 to 100.
Karen's facilitation style has been described as a firm but fun. She is able to draw information and ideas out of the group using a range of facilitation techniques that allow her to ask the difficult questions without putting people offside. At all times she ensures that the session keeps moving and that people stay focussed and on track to achieve the outcomes set. However, she is flexible enough to deal with any unexpected issues that may arise on the day.
Karen can assist by facilitating a session to help your team to
analyse the issues and design an action plan for moving ahead in
the areas of:
- Developing a leadership succession plan
- Recovering from a leadership crisis
- Creating a culture of engagement
- Re-engaging a disengaged team
- Managing generational transition
- Attracting and retaining the generations
She also facilitates forums for community groups and government
agencies to assist them to:
- Engage with external stakeholders
- Manage change processes
- Develop effective leadership teams
